About the program
Never raced in a dragon boat but want to learn how? Already love dragon boat racing but are looking for a team? You’ve come to the right place!
The Ready to Race package includes 6x 1-hour practices on Lake Scugog, departing from the Port Perry Marina; one race t-shirt; and entry into the Port Perry Dragon Boat Festival.
We provide all the equipment (paddles and life jackets). You provide the fun and enthusiasm!
Practice Info
Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 27 – June 12.
We practice at the Port Perry waterfront, and launch from the Port Perry Marina.
Race Day is June 14th!
What’s it cost?
The program cost is $150 and includes 6 practices, race entry fees, and a snazzy Scugog Dragon Boat t-shirt!
Level 1: Beginners
Tues/Thurs
5:30-6:45pm
If you’ve never been in a dragon boat before but always wanted to try, this is the level for you!
This level is also great for folks who have paddled before, but would like a refresher before moving up to Level 2.
Level 2: Beyond Beginner
Tues/Thurs
7:00-8:15pm
If you’ve paddled before and are looking for a fun, social racing experience, this level is for you!
