About the program
Never raced in a dragon boat but want to learn how? Already love dragon boat racing but are looking for a team? You’ve come to the right place!
The Ready to Race package includes 4x 1-hour practices on Lake Scugog, departing from the Port Perry boat launch; one race t-shirt; and entry into the Port Perry Dragon Boat Festival.
We provide all the equipment (paddles and life jackets). You provide the fun and enthusiasm!
Practice Info
Practices are from 5:45-6:45pm on Mondays (Beyond Beginner) and Wednesdays (Beginners)
We launch from our club’s dock, which is located near the Port Perry boat launch.
Race Day is June 13th!
What’s it cost?
The program cost is $150 and includes 4 practices, race entry fees, and a snazzy Scugog Dragon Boat t-shirt!
Level 1: Beginners
Practices: Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45pm (May 20, May 27, June 3, June 10)
If you’ve never been in a dragon boat before but always wanted to try, this is the level for you!
This level is also great for folks who have paddled before, but would like a refresher before moving up to Level 2.
Level 2: Beyond Beginner
Practices: Mondays, 5:45-6:45 pm (May 11, May 18, June 1, June 8)
If you’ve paddled before and are looking for a fun, social racing experience, this level is for you!
